FOUNDING PRINCIPLES
  1. Centro Lincoln University College (C-LUC) offers an innovative English-language program that does not require a knowledge of Spanish for either admission or graduation. C-LUC is part of the Universidad Nacional de San Martín (UNSAM) and is located on the campus of the American International School of Buenos Aires (Asociación Escuelas Lincoln, founded in 1936).
  2. The basic program was developed on the model of the U.S. Baccalaureate in Liberal Arts, modified to meet Argentine national standards and the requirements of cultural literacy in the age of globalization. C-LUC is characterized by multi-disciplinary studies and an international environment which promotes the formation of cross-cultural individuals.
  3. Extracurricular programs are designed to bring students into contact with the cultural life of Buenos Aires and to help them “live in Spanish” while they “learn in English.” For those who also want to learn Spanish, courses are offered at various levels.
ACADEMIC PROGRAMS & OPTIONS TRANSFER AND EXCHANGE PROGRAMS WITH U.S. UNIVERSITIES

Centro Lincoln University College (C-LUC) is the only university program in Argentina where all required courses are in English, and no Spanish language skills are required. Our academic program is based on the U.S. liberal arts degree. We offer students the possibility of either finishing their studies in Argentina with a degree from the Universidad Nacional de San Martín (UNSAM) or transferring to any U.S. or U.S.– style university. In addition to this, we offer a Study Abroad Program for students who wish to spend one or two semesters studying in English in Argentina, and to transfer those credits to their home universities anywhere in the world.

Over the past 15 years, C-LUC students have transferred to over 80 universities in the world, and C-LUC has been host to international students from more than 50 universities from around the world. Our students have had no problem in transferring their credits and have been able to excel in several institutions after having advanced their academic college work here at C-LUC. On the other hand, for the past 8 semesters, more than 30 students have enriched their own college experiences by spending one or more semesters here at C-LUC, experiencing both the Argentine cultural life by living in Buenos Aires, but also an international experience by sharing the academic and social environment with students from over 30 different backgrounds and nationalities.

STUDY ABROAD PROGRAM

C-LUC STUDENT BODY

The Study Abroad Program is an opportunity for international students to familiarize themselves during their stay in Argentina with the local culture and traditions, focusing on the recreation of the traditions of the River Plate. This includes tasting typical foods, folklore nights, tango lessons, sailing on the River, live tango music, visit to classic and modern museums in Buenos Aires, and an asado at the “Estancia Los Talas,” a typical Argentine ranch located in Luján which holds one of the most important collections of books from the 15th Century onwards and is part of the Universidad Nacional de San Martín (UNSAM)

One characteristic that stands out in C-LUC, just as it does in Asociación Escuelas Lincoln in general, is the international environment. Although at the beginning C-LUC was composed of a majority of Argentine students, it has been increasingly transformed into an international community, with European and U.S. students equaling and even outnumbering the Argentines. Thus, C-LUC has also become an important link between the Argentine and the international community at college level and a recipient of students from all over the globe.
